RENÉE NEWS - JUNE 2003
June 12, 2003 -- 'IT SEEMED that there was a little more purity to [the old Hollywood] before, like fame was more organic. It came as a result of something that a person contributed or something they possessed that was appealing or positive, as opposed to today, where the line is so ambiguous between fame and infamy. It seems to be all the same thing now — whether you're notorious for being an adulteress or you've made a really great album. It makes me sad. It's almost embarrassing to have a public persona, because it seems like that was your goal when you set out."
Thus speaks Renée Zellweger to Interview. Isn't it great when stars act as if they have good sense?
[New York Post - Liz Smith]
June 12, 2003 -- Renée Zellweger has been eating 20 doughnuts a day to gain weight for "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason." Zellweger told London's Sun, "One doughnut does not do a thing -- you've got to eat 20 a day for five weeks to get results." She also said she devours "savory scones and gravy for breakfast." Those chipmunk cheeks will be plumper in no time.
