Renee Zellweger at the 2006 BAFTAs

Caroline Herrera must be so proud. Her house model, Renée Zellweger, shows off the designer’s gown to maximum effect at the Orange British Academy Film Awards, also known as the BAFTAs. The dramatic back on this dress reveals that Renée has jettisoned every ounce of the pudge she packed on for those “Bridget Jones” films. Teabag tattlers report that George Clooney partied with Renée into the wee hours after the ceremony. And seriously, with this dress, who can blame him? —Elizabeth Snead

Kenny Chesney and Teri Hatcher were nowhere to be found so heavyweight stars Renee Zellweger and George Clooney were caught doing a bit of canoodling at his private Bafta after show party, reports UK gossip Victoria Newton.

The columnist gives this 'Bizarre' account:

Renee and George - who dated years ago - were huddled together in a corner of The Dorchester hotel, knocking back champagne cocktails until 5am.

When the barman finally threw them out so he could lock up, the pair went giggling down a corridor clutching a bottle of champagne.

I only hope Renee wasn’t wearing her big Bridget Jones pants as she and Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor carried on with their own party in a hotel suite.

George, who was up for six gongs for his movie Good Night, And Good Luck but walked away empty-handed, was smashed but in good spirits by the end of the evening.

For the record, Clooney answered with a firm "no chance" when asked about his rumored relationship with Desperate Housewives' starlet Teri.

This year's Orange British Academy Film Awards will be held at the Odeon Leicester Square on Sunday.

Hosted by Stephen Fry, celebrities such as Rachel Weisz, Charlize Theron, Ziyi Zhang, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Renee Zellweger will be sure to grab the headlines of the tabloid press on Monday in their designer dresses.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) held its first film awards in 1947.

The awards have always been an international event to recognise, honour and reward individuals for outstanding achievement in feature and short films produced world-wide and released in UK cinemas.

Orange has supported the Film Awards since 1998 and became the title sponsor in 2000.

The event is now known as the The Orange British Academy Film Awards.

The awards were held before the annual Oscars ceremony, in Hollywood, for the first time in 2001.
