RENÉE AND DYLAN
Renee Zellweger still mourning the death
of her beloved dog!

London: Film actress Renee Zellweger has still not gotten over the death of her
pet dog Dylan, even 11 months after her death, and is still mourning her beloved
pooch's loss.
The 'Bridget Jones Diary' star was devastated when the 15-year- old Dylan passed
away last November, and is shocked at people's suggestions that she should get a
new dog as a replacement.
"Give it a year and another year and you don't cry every day. I feel like I've
been a mum for 15 years. I have had my dog for 15 years and my life revolved
around her," femalefirst quoted Renee as saying.
"I could never replace Dylan. That would be like, 'I'm sorry your daughter died.
Do you have a new one?'
That's just the nature of the relationship. I'm not saying that everybody is so
lucky, but I was that lucky to have that kind of dog and that kind of
relationship with her," she added.
Zellweger's no sore loser

It's true that after losing the best actress Oscar for her role in "Chicago" in
March, Renee Zellweger didn't attend any of the after parties--but not because
she's a party pooper, as Hollywood gossips would lead you to believe.
The "Down With Love" star said recently, "After the awards were over, I thought
to myself, if I could do anything in the world right now to celebrate what this
experience has meant to me, what I'd love to do is go home and kiss my dog
[Woofer] on the nose.
"I felt that after I saw my dog, then I'd go to the Miramax party because my
friends would be there and then I'd go to the Vanity Fair party because it's
such a big deal and you have to go. Not going would be like not having a tree at
Christmas."
But events conspired against her. "Coming out of the Oscars, a very nice
gentleman was opening the door. I turned and said, 'Thank you so much.' And he
was on my dress. It went 'rip' and it exposed something on me that probably
shouldn't make an appearance at the Vanity Fair party. I thought, 'Fine, I'm
going to go home, kiss the dog and change.' "
When Zellweger got home, she had another problem. "I couldn't find my keys," she
moans. "So, I spent 20 minutes trying to find an open window. My friend Dave
Palmer, a k a Spider-Man now, scaled my house and opened a window while I stood
there in the torn dress on the driveway. Isn't this hilarious?"
Then she sobers, "When I got inside, [Woofer, who is incontinent] had a really
bad night. So, the dress had to be taken off and put in a safe place so that I
could take her out in the yard and give her a little bath. So, we had a little
bath and it was quite a moment."
At that point, Zellweger just decided to call it a night.
The single gal and her best friend.

Eonline: You've been talking about moving to New York.
Are you looking for a change?
RZ: I feel like I'm just reaching this period of change. I grew so much
this year. I'm open to new experiences. I thought to shake things up a little
bit, go to a place where the culture is so diverse, where there's every
opportunity to experience different mediums of art and things. I just wanted to
change things a little bit. And my dog is old. She can't ride in the car
anymore. I'm tired of leaving her at home, so I have to be honest, that's a big
part of it. Isn't that crazy? She's really getting old. Now, I'll be pulling her
around in her little red wagon through the streets of Manhattan.
